AI Detector & Em Dash Remover
Professionals on LinkedIn and in corporate writing are treating em dashes as a red flag for AI-generated text. Many are nervously editing posts, CVs, and articles to remove these punctuation marks, worried that their writing might appear “too artificial.”
To make this process simple, we built a small, free, and fully anonymous tool, HideGPT. No registration required. You can paste your text directly or upload a Word DOCX file, and the app will:
- Coherently replace em dashes (
—) and en dashes (–) with commas to ensure natural flow. - Highlight words and phrases that are associated with AI-generated content, showing exactly which parts to rethink or rewrite to humanize ChatGPT text.
- Save your results in Markdown format, perfect for web publication workflows or further editing.
The tool runs entirely in your browser, meaning nothing you paste or upload leaves your device. It’s fast, private, and designed to help you maintain a professional and authentic tone while understanding AI “footprints” in writing.
If you are preparing LinkedIn posts, CV, or web articles, this app provides a practical way to review and refine your text for human readability and credibility.
What is HideGPT?
HideGPT is a lightweight, browser-based tool that helps detect AI-generated content in written English language. It analyzes texts for common word combinations and phrasing that often appear in AI-produced content, and shows which parts of text are machine-like.
The detection isn’t about shaming anyone’s writing. The tool highlightings n-grams (single words, two-word phrases, and three-word sequences) that frequently appear in AI-generated text, based on a statistic research of a massive ChatGPT corpus. So HideGPT shows you exactly where to reconsider wording. This makes it easier to humanize writing for LinkedIn, HR, marketing, PR, and academic or school writing.
HideGPT also addresses the recent obsession with punctuation: em dashes and en dashes, often flagged as “GPT-ish” on LinkedIn and in corporate content, can be replaced automatically with commas in a coherent way.
Everything runs fully client-side in the browser, so nothing you paste or upload leaves your device. You can even upload Word DOCX files directly, edit your text in a Toast UI-powered editor, and save your results in Markdown. It is ideal for web-ready workflows.
If you’re cautious about AI detection or need to find out if someone’s writing was generated by ChatGPT , HideGPT gives you a fast, private, and practical way to address the issue.
